Banking & Mortgages
Banking options for TCI residents and foreign investors alike have significantly improved over the years. A number of banks with an established International reputation have opened up branches within the Turks and Caicos Islands. With the attraction of off shore savings benefits, the banking infrastructure is tightly regulated in the islands.
Each bank is required to hold a banking license in order to operate. These licenses are notoriously difficult to obtain. Each bank has to prove that it has the financial credentials to operate efficiently and must employ staff who are duly qualified. At the end of each year the Financial Services Commission inspect each bank’s accounts to ensure that all is in good standing.
